New line styles can be added under the Manage > Object Styles button. When editing a family, this dialogue shows the line styles contained. Press the “new” button to add one. Other than this, it acts just like the “Line Styles” dialogue in standard Revit Projects.
This line style will have its own separate
definition in the project. Once this family is loaded into a project you can,
in the project, go to Manage > Object Styles, expand the category the family
falls under, and this line style definition will be editable here. Hence, the
same family loaded into two different projects can have different line styles
in each project.
